I really like these boots. They are truly knee-high--some "knee-high" boots come to right below my knees, but these come almost to the top of my knees. (I'm 5'5"). I normally wear a size 9-10. Based on other reviews I ordered a size 9 and I'm glad I did! These are very roomy, bordering on too big, but with thick socks they'll fit perfectly.

I really love these boots! The only issue I've had with them is that they fit a little larger than I expected. I'm a size 7.5 and I probably should have ordered a size 7 as the 7.5 is slightly large. But other than that I love everything about them. I wear them almost every day. :)
I am short and like my shoes to reach close to my knee, these are nice and tall. I have large calves and these still provide plenty of extra calf room. I can wear these all day, and unlike other low budget boots these do not squeak when I walk on tile. One downside is they don't provide much breathing room compared to some higher budget boots, but it's not terrible, just noticeable. If you were to wear these more than 3 times a week I imagine they may get stinky. Definitely recommend.
They fit just a wee bit too big around my heel but I have skinny heels. They're fine with thick socks. They are very comfortable. I wore them all night while on my feet and had no problems at all. They look like they were expensive so I'd say I got a great deal!
Just wanted to add my view on these terrific boots: they look great. They fit. Great price. Just be aware that the foot bed is large. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and would have been more at ease in an 8. However, I put in an extra inside sole and they are fine. Also, be aware that the inside zipper does not zip all the way up. Just from sole to mid calf. So it's a bit of a work out to put them on from the top opening but it is a true 17" at calf. Oh, but when they are on, wow!
Love these boots and I get compliments on them. Since they are not real leather and go up to the knees they can make your legs feel a bit sweaty. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 so ordered a 9 to be safe. They r a bit big but figured if I want to wear the thicker boot socks they will be good. The bottoms are a little slippery but I think after wearing them a few times outside they will roughen up more. They are comfortable but not an all day shoe as I think they could make your feet feel tired since there is no padding in them. I like them a lot for the $40 I paid.
